Tyler Brazelton, PT, DPT

Dr. Tyler Brazelton is a physical therapist and strength and conditioning specialist based in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Belmont University after receiving a B.S. in Exercise Sports Science from Tennessee Tech University. During his time at Belmont, he developed an interest in using sports biomechanics for injury prevention and rehabilitation of professional ballet dancers, as well as orthopedic and sports injuries. Tyler also gained extensive experience treating Division 1 athletes with the University of Texas Athletics. 

Dr. Brazelton is passionate about helping others, always instilling self-belief and confidence in the pursuit of excellence. He strives to facilitate the potential for each patient to reach their highest level of function and health.

Dr. Brazelton uses a holistic, evidence based approach in his practice while incorporating the latest technology to craft an individualized plan for each patient. In addition to manual therapy techniques and cognitive training, Tyler utilizes his certifications in blood flow restriction, functional dry needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and IASTM to provide comprehensive assessments and optimize patient results. 

As an OnBase University Baseball Certified Specialist, Tyler works with many MLB players during the off season. He is a former 4-year outfielder for the NCAA Division I Tennessee Tech baseball team and a member of the 2013 OVC Championship, and has a special interest in baseball athletes. In addition to OnBase, Tyler’s certifications include Titlest Performance Institute, Champion Performance Specialist, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). 

In his spare time, Dr. Brazelton can be found being active outdoors in Nashville and enjoying recreational sports with friends & his dog, Odessa. He also enjoys watching all sports, especially the Tennessee Titans on Sundays during the fall.
